In 2003, the World Health Organization (WHO) published a comprehensive list of diseases and health disorders that can be treated effectively with TCM therapy methods. The following excerpt from the WHO list highlights the diverse effects of TCM.

Susceptibility to infectious diseases and colds

Orthopedic diseases

Neck and shoulder pains, chronic back pain, arthritis, arthrosis, rheumatic diseases

Digestive tract disorders 

Diarrhea and constipation, gallstones, inflammation of the stomach lining, reflux, irritable bowel syndrome
