NUTRITION COUNSELING - a holistic approach based on the five elements
TCM nutrition is based on the principle of the five elements. These five elements are wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, and they represent the five tastes. The elements influence bodily functions in different ways and are assigned to different organs. The aim of TCM nutrition is to harmonize the five elements as well as Yin (matter) and Yang (energy). When there is a harmonious balance, the life energy Qi can flow undisturbed. An undisturbed flow of Qi strengthens health, well-being, and mental balance.
